Position: Junior Network Engineer Location: Kathmandu, Nepal No. of Requirements: 1   A renowned consulting organization is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Junior Network Engineer to join our IT team and gain valuable experience in network administration and security.   • Assist senior network engineers with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network equipment, hardware, and software.
  • Participate in network monitoring and troubleshooting, identifying and resolving network issues under guidance.
  • Learn and assist with network design, migration, implementation, and deployment tasks.
  • Gain experience with network security best practices and assist in maintaining firewalls.
  • Provide support for new application integrations and existing system upgrades.
  • Participate in network site surveys and document findings as needed.
  • Contribute to automating network monitoring tasks.
  • Develop strong communication skills by collaborating with senior engineers, clients, and vendors.
  Requirements:
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of basic networking concepts such as TCP/IP protocols, routing, and switching.
  • A demonstrated interest in cybersecurity.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies.
  • Ability to work independently under supervision and as part of a team.

A renowned consulting organization is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Network Engineer to join their IT team and play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the network infrastructure. Responsibilities:

  • Administer all network equipment, hardware and software upgrades.
  • Serve as the technical point of contact for the customer.
  • Analyze local and wide area network systems, to include testing.
  • Provide design, migration, implementation and deployment services / guidance.
  • Perform network system backups per documented methods and procedures.
  • Conduct network/site surveys and prepare test reports, if required.
  • Maintain firewalls to ensure proper security controls are in place.
  • Obtain quotes, procure hardware and ensure delivery and installation.
  • Provide support for new applications and upgrades to existing systems.
  • Install, configure, and support equipment from a variety of vendors.
  • Communicate with clients and vendors involved in provisioning activities.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed.
  • Automate network monitoring to provide a proactive approach to mitigate network issues.
  • Plan network layouts and configure systems to user environments.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 4-5 years of experience in network engineering, preferably in a corporate environment.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP protocols, routing, switching, and network security concepts.
  • Proven experience with firewalls, including FortiGate, Checkpoint.
  • Solid knowledge of Active Directory administration.
  • Minimum of one Cisco certification (CCNA) or an equivalent international certification.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
